David Molnar gives 6 tips for taking fireworks photos on iPhone

The first tip for shoooting Fourth of July fireworks is to use a gorilla tripod plus a Slowshutter app, according to photographer and blogger David Molnar.

With tripod and app set up, move in close to the fireworks, “set up your Shutter app on a slight delay timer so you don’t shake the camera when you push the shutter button,” and then “shoot a bunch of photos.”

Those who arrive to the festivities without a tripod will have to use other options the eCourse instructor shares: Use focus/exposure lock for night shooting; hold still; take many pictures, shoot in burst mode; don’t use your camera’s flash; and, if all else fails, cheat and take video!
