Here’s How the Little Hawk In Iowa City Live Streams Sports and Events

After trying a number of different setups for Live Streaming we have been using the following setup connected to motion sensing cameras through the Musco Lighting System in our gyms and football field. The streaming cameras are controlled by motion sensing cameras. Students broadcasting don’t have to run the cameras. They bring a laptop, USB mixing board with mics, and bottles of water. We had also found the setting up and taking down equipment was problematics so we worked with the Athletic Department to keep the laptop, mixing board, and microphones in the press box and gym. This has been a game changer for our live streaming team this year. We did have to use a Microsoft laptop to work with the Musco lighting system that streamed directly to a YouTube Channel that was embedded on TheLittleHawk.com.
