JEA opens National Student Media Contests for student journalists. Oct. 18 deadline approaches

The fall JEA National Student Media Contests are open and 45 categories are available for students to compete in. Contests range from writing and photography to video and design.

There is a $20 entry fee for each contest and submissions are due no later than 6 p.m. CDT on Monday, Oct. 18.

Results will be available by Nov. 13 online. There will be critique videos for each contest category and every entry receives feedback from judges.

He is the Journalism Education Association Digital Media Chair and co-Director of Media Now. He is the 2023 JEA Teacher Inspiration Award Winner and is a former Dow Jones News Fund National Journalism Teacher of the Year.
