Create mobile Picture in Picture videos with the Video in Video app

I was at the Journalism Interactive conference this past weekend at the University of Missouri. I got a lot of great takeaways from my time there. One was the Video in Video app. You can find the app in the iTunes store hereJudd Slivka, assistant professor at the Missouri School of Journalism, showed off the app in his Saturday afternoon session “How to Become a Mobile Ninja in the Field.” I got some other great tools and ideas in that session I’ll be sharing later.

The Video in Video app is $1.99 but allows users to very easily make picture in picture video on the fly. Slivka was showing how the app could easily be used with B-roll as the background footage and the smaller video block could house an interview with someone talking about what is happening in the background B-roll.

For some quick, mobile video creation on the fly, Video in Video is definitely a tool to have on your short list. Click on the video above to get a little taste of what it can do.
