How I’m surviving my first year as adviser: The Final Month

May: It’s one of the best times to be a teacher; and it’s one of the worst. How do you motivate your staff to finish the year strong? At our school, with May comes: prom, awards ceremonies, senior sports nights, AP testing, dance marathon, a talent show, an art show, the last week of high school for seniors—with graduation on the horizon. As an online staff, this means A LOT of stuff to cover.

I’m wondering how my staff will accomplish it all–especially when they’re dreaming of summer and everyone seems to have senioritis, including me.
