Schooltube contest: Win a trip to see the Black Eyed Peas in NYC

Here is a quick contest for your students to keep them engaged these waning days of school.

They just need to submit a 1-3 min video on why they deserve to have the “Time of their Life” in New York City. Winners get an all-expenses paid trip to New York City and tickets to see the Black Eyed Peas this June. Deadline is May 12. Winners announced May 19.

This may just spark their need to know how to shoot and edit video.

Here is some information from the SchoolTube contest page:

Wanna go to New York City? Wanna see the Black Eyed Peas?

All you have to do is tell us a little about yourself and why you want or deserve to have the Time of Your Life. In a brief, 1-3 minute video, use your creativity and striking personality to enter for your chance to win an All Expense Paid trip to the Big Apple for three and a pair of tickets to see The Peas while you are there.

Why do you want to go? Why do you deserve to go? How would you make the most of it and what memories do you hope to bring home? You can thank the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, Avid®, and Epiphone for this fantastic opportunity and the prizes that are up for grabs. Once the voting period begins, be sure to share your entry with your friends so they can help you get the most “Love It” ratings.

Submission Period: 3/15/2011 – 5/12/2011 (11:59 p.m. CST)

Voting Period 5/13/2011 – 5/16/2011 (11:59 p.m. EST)
