Media Now STL – St. Louis – June 22-25, 2014

Media Now STL is a high school journalism digital media summer camp held June 22-25, 2014, at Lindenwood University in the St. Louis metro area. We’ll be kicking off with our opening session and speaker on Sunday afternoon and leaving out with final product in hand after camp awards on Wednesday at noon.

We expose our campers to the latest media tips and tools available from video or photo editing to social media implementation and promotional tactics through the classroom and large group sessions. Taught by industry leaders – both professional journalists and current high school or collegiate advisers – we introduce new ideas, provide the training and give hands-on assignments to send them out as energized, more confident and curious journalists. It’s designed with the game changers of journalism in mind. We plan to melt their minds during our time together and have a little fun while we’re at it.

The hands-on courses are for for students and advisers alike, aside from the advising course which is for advisers only. Upperclassman can earn college credit and CEUs are available for advisers. Learn more about it at www.MediaNowSTL.com.

 Earlybird registration (those paying by April 22) is $265. Price jumps to $280 after that and $300 after June 2. Housing on the Lindenwood campus is available for an additional $75. Food and camp t-shirt is included with registration.

Advisers can attend on their own or with students.

If 5 or more students from a school attend, the adviser’s registration is only $50.
