ASB Workshop – Springfield, MO

Since the summer of 2000, this workshop has provided a challenging week of training for scholastic broadcast teachers. Open for middle and high school teachers, the focus is on practical, hands-on experiences, plus useful information for lesson plans, program development, staff organization, creative assignments, and the basics of video storytelling, and how to teach it.

The workshop has received praise from teachers just beginning a broadcast program, and from veteran advisers looking for fresh ideas. Limited to 30 attendees.

The director is Dave Davis, founder/adviser of “HTV Magazine,” produced by students at Hillcrest High School in Springfield, MO, where the workshop takes place.
