SmugMug Made the Workflow Easier for Our Media Staff

We were running out of data on Google and our yearbook platform didn’t have the functionality that we were looking for. Enter SmugMug.

SmugMug costs, but we needed something that would work. And that it did.

We have folders for every month and inside of each folder, we have events that we’ve covered, and inside of the events, we have photos organized by photographer.

In addition, all of the photos have space for captions, which has been a game changer in terms of organizing and pulling photos for our publications.

We also use a comment space when we pull a photo so we can make sure that we aren’t using the same photo across our publications. We add in the date and the publication we are using the photo in. Ideally, we would never use the same photo across publications.
