Here are a few SNO updates from the past year you won’t want to miss

In case you missed a SNO report during the past year here are a few of the things that we’ve updated on our sites that schools can take advantage of:

  • A new commenter email verification tool is now active on all sites. This tool requires any person making a comment on your story to verify their email before the comment is posted live. For more information on why we created it and how to adjust the settings on your comment section check out this support article.
  • We’re coming up on the one year anniversary of launching SNO Donate. This has been a wildly popular means of site monetization. Just this past year some advisers figured out a way to highlight SNO Donate to solicit donations on Giving Tuesday. All SNO sites have access to SNO Donate. Here is a support article that outlines how to turn it on and adjust the display settings.
  • We also now offer a native infographic builder for those sites that purchased the Site Booster tools. This tool allow you to easily create and embed the following types of infographics into your stories:
    • Line charts
    • Bar charts
    • Pie charts
    • Donut charts
    • Radar charts
    • USA map state-by-state charts
    • World map country-by-country charts
  • Here are a couple of support articles about the SNO infographics:
    • How to add create and add a SNO Infographic
    • Qualitative and Quantitative Maps
  • We have also made a lot of behind the scenes tweaks to FLOW. That newsroom management tool is now running better than ever both on the desktop and in the app.
