There are lots of great ways to teach students how to interview, but some of the most effective lessons can be through showing them what not to do.

This video, posted by Laurie Folsom and created by Barbara Tholen, a journalism adviser at Lawrence High School, walks viewers through a sample mock interview between a student reporter and a coach — and it’s a hot mess.

It’s a great video to show your staffers and then have a discussion about afterwards.
