Please describe your podcast and why you thought it would be a good topic to have a podcast on.
We wanted to do a podcast that showcased different individuals from our school community that people may know about at a surface level, but not really much about them beyond that.

How has the podcast changed since the first show? What are some things you’ve learned and done to make it better?
Launching a podcast during a pandemic school year has been a bit of a challenge. Some things we adjust right away was sound quality. We also started scripting our intros and outros and outlining our episodes so they would be a little more organized.

What tools do you use to record, edit and publish your podcast?
We have a designated Podcast room, with mics and all the equipment we need. We use various editing software and put our podcast out using Anchor.

What advice do you have for others looking to make a podcast?
There is definitely a learning curve. The first episode does not have to be perfect. You have to begin somewhere and it’s a process to learn and improve. Also, get the school community involved. We did a contest in order to get our theme song for the podcast. We were able to get entries from a number of students throughout the school. It was a cool way to get people excited about the podcast and involve other students.
