Check out the Journalist’s Toolbox for lots of useful resources

If you don’t subscribe to Mike Reilley’s Journalist’s Toolbox newsletter, you definitely should do that. I always find new new tools to check out.

In a recent newsletter this August, he posted about some new tools he discovered over the summer. I got lost in the USAfacts.org link he shared and I could see how that could be helpful for students to generate story ideas or for information in stories they are working on. He followed it up with a Part II with more links you can see here as well.

If you spent part of your summer cleaning your inbox like I did, you might find yourself with a little space for something new and I’d definitely recommend subscribing. And, if you haven’t checked out Journaliststoolbox.org, that should be another bookmark. Among other things there, you will find area on high school journalism, education and teaching tools.
