Use Adobe Spark to Easily Create Videos and Images for Social Media

Last week I attended a workshop where I finally had time to play around with Adobe Spark. It’s a great free tool student journalists and advisers can use to quickly create web pages, social media images and videos.

Adobe Spark is not meant to be a replacement for Adobe Premiere or Photoshop or WordPress. Instead, it’s meant to be a tool to help individuals create nice looking content quickly. Too often, I have had students working to create a nice-looking header for the staff’s Facebook page, only for it to take them three days.

I made this one on Adobe Spark in 10 minutes.

I also made this video. It took roughly 25 minutes to put together. The toughest part was digging through my photos/gifs to find three that I wanted to use.

Adobe Spark has preset templates for the videos, social images and pages that allow you to easily add your images or videos to a design and then change the copy within to meet your needs.

Adobe Spark is free to sign up and use. Adobe Spark also has three separate mobile apps you can download on your iOS device for free: Adobe Spark Page, Adobe Spark Post and Adobe Spark Video.
