As much as I missed all my friends in Seattle, I have to say, it was a lot of fun digging back into old archives to put together this video to accept the honor as JEA’s National Broadcast Adviser of the Year for 2017. I’ll give a high five to anyone who wants one when we “Go Big” at the JEA/NSPA Dallas convention in November.

Alyssa Boehringer is in her 12th year advising journalism at McKinney High School. She advises MHS1, Manestreamnews.com as well as The Lion Yearbook. Her students love going to conventions where they wear ugly sweaters instead of staff shirts. Alyssa is the 2017 National Broadcast Adviser of the Year.
