#NHSJC a simple way to get involved at conferences while teaching social media

It sounds corny, but I was really excited to see that one of my #nhsjc Tweets was used in a Storified article.

The #nhsjc hashtag has been used at national conferences several years now, and information about it is included in registration booklets.

What’s beautiful about using curated social media during the event is that your story is essentially written real-time and easy to put together when you get back from the conference.

And, people like me who are quoted in your story see the final product.  I never would have seen this article if I hadn’t been notified that I was quoted in it.

Check it out, and practice in your own newsroom perhaps before you go to a convention.  Then, let the social media roll!
