5 Ways to Use AI, like ChatGPT, in the video storytelling process

While I’m not condoning using AI to write your script for you or create computer generated video clips, I do think there are ways you can use AI in the video development process to help you publish a strong piece. This help can be anything at the beginning of the formulation process, to the end where you are publishing it.

Many staffers and advisers might find the following searches beneficial:

  1. What are some tips for writing a good title for a Youtube Video?
  2. What are some tips for writing a good description for a video on youtube?
  3. What are the steps in creating and editing a journalistic news video story?
  4. What are the steps to edit a multicam video shoot easily in Adobe Premiere?
  5. How does a documentary video differ from a traditional journalistic video?

If you haven’t read the first piece in this series (5 Ways to Use AI, like ChatGPT, in the journalistic writing process) or the piece that sparked these posts (Starting a new draft cycle? Use AI to get organized), take a few minutes to check them out as they give some nice background to this piece and a little more depth behind things.

*this is one of a series of posts we are doing at JEADigitalMedia.org to show students and advisers how to positively harness some of the power of AI. AI is a great starting point but should be used in conjunction with other research methods. Work to encourage students to verify information they get there and make sure you understand the legal considerations of using work created by AI.
