How to Password Protect a WordPress Page

Posted on 23. Feb, 2012 by in Design, Tips

I had a question asked to me this week about how to password protect a page in WordPress. Why would a staff want to do this? Maybe they want to put the staff manual there. Maybe it’s for a contest the staff is running. The possibilities are endless. Creating a password protected page in WordPress is pretty easy. Here’s a Youtube video that shows you how.

At around the :50 mark in the video she starts talking about and “Exclude Pages” menu which you might not see in your version of WordPress. Just disregard. You don’t need it. I made a password protected page for the site. Click here to give it a look. The password is: ilovejeadigitalmedia (because you do).
