University of Iowa Summer Journalism Workshops – Iowa City, Iowa

The University of Iowa Summer Journalism Workshops offers 11 sections for high school students. While each will have some focus on digital, three will be especially immersive: Advanced Graphic Design; Digital Journalism and Visual Storytelling; and Personal Writing: Columns, Reviews and Blogging. In addition to Personal Writing, we offer three other speciality writing workshops: Culture Writing, Investigative Reporting and Sports Media. For adult students we again are offering a one-week online course, which can be taken for graduate or undergraduate credit: High School Publication Advising: Yearbooks, Newspapers, and Online News Sites.
