Judy Babb posted a link to this post on the JEA Listserv yesterday and called it ‘fabulous.’

In the post “Workshops on elevating your Twitter use and engaging in breaking news“, Steve Buttry shares presentations he used at workshops for professional journalists.

One is titled “Elevate your Twitter Game” and touches on subjects from hashtags to livetweeting. The other is titled “Engaging in Breaking News Coverage.” In it, Buttry gives some tools other than Twitter you can use to help you with breaking news coverage and then he goes on to give some tips for the actual coverage itself.

It is a great post for those looking for a starting point on how to use social media for more than just pushing links and it even gives others who are using their social accounts a bit more deeply sotips they can use.
