Maintenance Mode WordPress Plugin Allows You to Work Offline

Every now and then the staff needs to do some major work on the site, this might be before a launch or it may center around a redesign. Many staffs don’t want the world to see the site as it’s being built or rebuilt. The Maintenance Mode plugin is a great solution to use when you want to hide your site for a bit. The plugin is easy to active and can be customized in a variety of ways, one of which allows viewers to see when the site will be back online.

The nice thing about this plugin is that it allows anyone with ‘administrator’ login rights to the site access to the back and front ends of the site. This way, those individuals who are working on the design/redesign are able to work uninhibited.

The plugin is free and can be found in the WordPress plugin directory.
