Online Course: WordPress for Journalism Educators
Posted on 22. Aug, 2011 by Candace Perkins Bowen in Resources, Workshops
WordPress for Journalism Educators was a hit this summer, so Kent State is bringing it back this fall. A 2-graduate-credit course offered entirely online, instruction runs for five weeks, beginning Nov. 7.
Instructor Stacy Stevenson is a PhD candidate in instructional technology and has been an graduate assistant for the Center for Scholastic Journalism for two years, helping teach hands-on web concepts to the ASNE High School Journalism Institute fellows. The course is designed to show how to implement and manage a WordPress site, how to use it for content management and guide students in its use. Stevenson also covers legal and ethical issues and adapts content to help those with specific questions and challenges.
