Mobile Reporting Tools Guide Available at RJIOnline.org

Will Sullivan has created a great resource for reporting on the go. It’s a guide reviewing mobile tools of all shapes, sizes and purposes.

The Gear Guide that he compiled has reviewed products in 15 different categories. The Applications section has categories ranging from Audio Editing Apps and File Transmission Apps to Note Taking Apps and Live Streaming Apps. Likewise, the Hardware section covers a variety of categories from External Microphones and Lights to Chargers and Batteries.

What I really like about what Sullivan and his team have done is the way they have presented their findings. They start each category off with a quick-glance graph comparing each of the items they reviewed and then follow it up below with more in-depth analysis of each tool.

Sullivan is one of the 2010-2011 Donald W. Reynolds Fellows at the University of Missouri’s Reynold’s Journalism Institute.
