Columnist uses Big 12 coach’s tweets to tell the story

Here is a neat piece by Cedar Rapids Gazette columnist Mike Hlas. He’s covering reaction by a Big 12 coach of what seems to be the inevitable breakup of the conference. In this post, he gives a couple paragraphs of background, but then let’s Iowa State women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly tell the rest of the story through his twitter postings. It’s just an interesting alternative way to tell a story and one more example of how journalists are using social media posts in their stories.
